Numerical analysis of the structural durability of rotating chassis components

Working in conjunction with the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF in Darmstadt, our development engineers have developed software for you that uses 3D models of your wheels and wheel hubs, plus other details, to detect and highlight potential safety risks through virtual stress tests.

Stress tests - simple

Use LBF®.WheelStrength to determine the resulting strains on your virtually-created, rotating chassis components. The data of 3D wheel or wheel hub models can be entered into a simple user interface and subjected to different virtual stress tests at the touch of a button.

Fast working through graphic preparation of the data

The program then creates stress and strain diagrams and can also issue the maximum load-bearing capacity at each point of the structure. Using the 3D model you can detect potential weak spots and correct these virtually.

Passenger car and truck wheels, plus attachment parts (e.g. wheel hubs) can be calculated with LBF®.WheelStrength.
